Windows Phone 7 at Tech-Ed Africa 2010
I came away a bit disappointed from the Windows Phone 7 demonstrations at Tech-Ed Africa 2010. At launch, the Windows Marketplace will not be available in South Africa and this is very disappointing. Also, I could not determine if there was any default application for managing Outlook Tasks and synchronizing these with Exchange. As a project manager and a practitioner of Getting Things Done,...

I was an e-mail hoarder
This year, I have hoarded over 10,000 e-mails so far (Jan to October 2009), totalling close to 1.5 GB of e-mail data.
Why? Because I keep telling myself that I might need it again in the future. The reality is that I never go back into this e-mail history, ever. So I’ve implemented the following “filing guidelines” for myself:
Only keep an email if there is still an action I need to do on...

Coming from the pure GTD world it has taken some mental energy to unlearn some of the GTD way of doing things and my bad habits. The best and most useful feature so far is the “patent pending” TaskSense view of your next actions – this is a...

Total, Relaxed Organization
Yesterday I came across the TRO (Total, Relaxed Organization) time management system. I fell in love! ;-)
TRO is based heavily on Getting Things Done (GTD), but it extends GTD by adding elements that I think are going to be very useful. For example: prioritizing my task list of over 300 next actions. I’m looking forward to how TRO will work for me.
I’m currently completing the online...
